Week 6

Hi children, I hope you are all well? I know we have all been indoors a lot of the time for a while now and many of us can’t wait to go out and about more once we are allowed to. While we are still spending a lot of time at home, take a look at this fantastic website. It allows you to take virtual tours of so many places like history and science museums, art galleries, aquariums and zoos from across the world. You can even visit the seven wonders of the world right from your living room! You can share this with your brothers and sisters and adults as well.

Some of the places you can ‘visit’ are:

  • The Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam)
  • The Taj Mahal (India)
  • Hagia Sophia (Turkey)
  • The White House (USA)
  • The Louvre (France)

After you have taken a tour, you can do some art work based on the landmark you visited, or create a mini presentation about what you learnt from the tour. I hope you enjoy your visit! How about making a powerpoint presentation or writing a letter to a friend describing your experience to the place you choose to visit?

PS. There are lots of different tours on the website so you can take your time exploring lots of different places over a long time.
