Hiking Challenges
To build stamina and a love of the outdoors, during the academic year we will be going on walking trips.
In March we took over 60 children from Year 4 and 5 for a 11km walk round Batley. This was an exceptional achievement for everyone who took part. Not a single child gave up and they all showed determination, perseverance and all enjoyed the day in the outdoors. Those who have completed this walk will be awarded with a bronze certificate.
This was a preliminary walk before we tackle some further (and slightly harder) walks round the country. Some children will be going to Ingleton Waterfalls, they will be awarded with a silver certificate. The gold walk will be at Malham Tarn with Ilkley Moor being set to challenge all who are able to get to this level. This will be our platinium level.
