DAY 8. WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL 2020
Maths Work Set For Wednesday 1st April 2020
Measuring Capacity Using Non-Standard Units
Today we are going to find out how many cupfuls/spoonfuls/egg cupfuls of water it will take to fill a variety of larger containers.
YOU WILL NEED A SMALLER CONTAINER (E.G. EGG CUP) AND A VARIETY OF LARGER CONTAINERS (E.G. WATER BOTTLE, JUG, CUP, TEAPOT, PAN ETC.)
Can you choose a smaller container e.g. egg cup and estimate how many times it will take to fill a variety of larger containers? Then you can use water and the egg cup to find out how many times it takes to fill each larger container.
You can use the sheet below to record your estimate and actual total amounts.
PLEASE CAN YOU TAKE A PHOTO OF THEIR WORK AND UPLOAD IT TO 2SIMPLE EVIDENCE ME.
