Warwick Road Primary School is committed to providing the best education possible for each and every child, regardless of age, ability, gender, race or background. Parents, Staff and Governors at the school work together in partnership to ensure that maximum attendance is achieved at all times.
Children need regular attendance in order to become established within the class and become confident members of the school community. They need to be able to take full opportunity of the curriculum offered and in order to do this they need to be in school.
We need your support in ensuring that your child/children attend school regularly and on time.
School is open to children 190 days per year and we would hope that they attend for as much of that time as possible. We realise that there are going to be times, mainly because of illness, when pupils need to be absent.
This brief guidance is aimed at bringing some particular points to your attention which we believe to be of the greatest importance. We hope it will help parents and carers understand school procedures and help them in working together with the school in improving school attendance.
