Keeping you informed

We want to keep parents informed of their child's progress, and about other activities in school. We recognise that good communication benefits the whole school community.

In this section you will find information about everything that is happening in and outside of our school as well as photographs and videos of our amazing children in action.

  • Skipton Castle

    Published 23/09/19

On Monday 23rd September, year 2 visited Skipton Castle as part of their topic work. Prior to our trip, the children learnt about the features of a castle, how castles have changed over time and the people who used to live/work in castles.

We arrived at 11:00 to be placed in our groups and then the adventure began.  All pupils enjoyed exploring the grounds and the castle and asked so many questions (generated from their own research).

Thank you to all the guides who gave the pupils a tour of the castle. The pupils and the staff gained a lot of new knowledge from the visit!

  • Harvest Festival

    Published 16/09/19

Our Harvest Festival was a wonderful way to give thanks for the fruits of the land and the sea.   The year 2 children performed an assembly for their parents about the importance of Harvest time.  It was a time to think about those who do not have access to clean, fresh water and healthy food.  We collected donations of food from our incredibly generous families. These were collected by the charity, One Nation, who will distribute the items to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Thank you to all of our parents who donated items for this worthy cause.
