  • Year 3 Clife House Trip

    For our Flow topic, we visited Cliffe House on Wednesday 30th November, where we walked along a river and identified some of the physical features we learned in class. We also had a go at doing pond dipping and exploring the different pond creatures that inhabited the area. It was so cold that some of us had to use the end of our nets to break the ice that had blanketed the pond. When we got back to the classroom, we used a classification key to find the names of the creatures we found.

  • Maths Parents Workshop

    During the week beginning 7th November, staff from Warwick Road school carried out some exciting and useful parents maths workshops. These workshops helped parents to understand and visually see what their children are learning in maths lessons. Some parents were given the opportunity to carry out some hands-on problem solving activities, whereas other parents were given a detailed insight into 'test type' questions. Furthermore, staff gave parents various ideas and handouts explaining how they can help their children with mathematical concepts at home.
