Big Iftar
On Saturday 16th June, hundreds of people gathered in the Memorial Gardens in Batley to celebrate the end of the daily Ramadan fast and remember Jo Cox. As the sun set over Batley, people had the chance to hear more about Ramadan, experience the breaking of the fast, observe prayers and share in a feast. A group of our year 2 children took to the stage to perform to the large crowd, along with other local schools. They worked exceptionally hard to learn all the lyrics off by heart and amazed the crowd on the day.
