The Deep Year 3

On Wednesday children in Y3 visited The Deep as part of this half terms creative topic. We visited the aquariums to gain a unique insight into the world of the deep. We had the opportunity to observe aquatic life, finding out about the different species that live in the depths of the world’s seas and oceans. We viewed our ocean world with the help of NASA images and the amazing 3D magic planet.

Then we took a closer look at one special ocean habitat, the coral reef. In our workshop we investigated the location of reefs, the coral animal itself and explore the relationship between species who make the reef their home.
