Year 6 Graduation 2017
On 18 July, Year 6 pupils and parents were gathered in the assembly hall for this year's graduation ceremony. This was no ordinary celebration, however. This one was attended by Jo Cox's sister, Kim Leadbeater, and her parents, Jean and Gordon Cox. Kim awarded every child in Year 6 with an individual class award, as well as a leaver's book to celebrate their achievements and time spent at Warwick Road. Additionally, there were two awards given to two children who staff believe embody all that Jo Cox stood for, namely kindness and thoughtfulness. These were awarded to Sana Rawat from Class Cygnus and Abdur-Rahman from Class Eridanus.
Afterwards, all children came together for some group photos - one of which saw children throw their graduation hats into the air! It was a truly lovely ceremony and plans are already underway to ensure that it becomes a regular event at Warwick Road Primary School.
