Y2 Road Safety Workshop

On Tuesday 4th February, Kirklees Road Safety trainers came into school to deliver pedestrian training to the Year 2 children, to help them begin to learn and understand important road safety skills.

The trainers set the hall up as a basic road layout in order to develop the skills and awareness required for young children to cope with today's traffic.  The children were taught how to practice crossing the road and staying safe.  They learnt about the key messages of holding hands with adults, stopping at the kerb and looking and listening for traffic before crossing a road.
